Everything New in Beauty
My staff and I just returned from the Premiere Beauty Show at the Orlando Convention Center, the biggest beauty show in the U. S. We covered every aisle of the miles of exhibit- hall floor (no exaggeration, it’s a huge show) to find the best new products, services, and technologies in our industry. After careful comparison of the products of dozens of manufacturers, here are a few of the newest technologies we invested in.
We purchased and took the certification course for the only frizz-taming keratin smoothing product on the market that contains absolutely no formaldehyde or any generic variation of an aldehyde (unlike the ones who pretend to be formaldehyde-free by listing an unrecognizable word in the their ingredients that is actually formaldehyde or a derivative of formaldehyde.) We also checked out several organic color lines and are doing trials on our staff to determine which one is best.
The show was also a great opportunity to see new talent, as well as celebrity hairdressers from all over the world as they performed live on stages throughout the exhibit floor and taught their specialties in break-away classrooms. Some of the friends and colleagues we connected with were Luis Alvarez, founder of Aquage (whom you may have met at our salon grand opening party last November); Tabatha Coffey of TV’s reality show, “Tabatha’s Salon Takeover;” Kim Vo, master colorist to the Hollywood A-List and hair guru on E! Entertainments “Daily 10;” and Nick Arrojo, star of Bravo’s “What Not to Wear.”
